Ryan Gilbert: Welcome to Philly Hockey Now!
Hello, and welcome to Philly Hockey Now! We’re the new home of the best Philadelphia Flyers coverage; part of the National Hockey Now family of sites.
My name is Ryan Gilbert and I am the Lead Writer and Editor-in-chief of Philly Hockey Now. Some of you may know me from Sons of Penn, Broad Street Hockey, and other various sites around the interwebs. If you enjoyed what I did with Sons of Penn, you’re going to love Philly Hockey Now.
For those of you that don’t know me, you’re going to be seeing a lot from me here at PHN.
I plan on bringing all of the fun things from Sons of Penn in the form of GIFs and maybe a meme here or there, as well as the more hard-hitting analysis and video breakdowns that I have done for Broad Street Hockey. This will all be accompanied by game coverage, of course, with previews, recaps, and another piece or two for every game.
The great thing about Philly Hockey Now is that if you want to support the site, you have a few options to choose from.
First, you can simply read and share the content on the website. Most of the content will be completely free, but we have a freemium model. There will be select articles that are behind a paywall for subscribers called Philadelphia Hockey Now +, or PhHN+ for short. You can subscribe at a monthly or yearly rate if you want to support what you’re reading and get some more content as well. Who knows, maybe we’ll even have some subscriber-only mailbags, contests, or surprises along the way.
The 2021 NHL season is in full swing – for better or for worse – and we’re going to hop right in to provide you another source for great Flyers content.
If you have any questions, comments, or just want to say hi, follow me on Twitter @RGilbertSOP.
Most importantly, make sure you follow Philly Hockey Now on Twitter @PhillyHockeyNow and like us on Facebook.
Glad someone’s filling the void left when Sons of Penn departed. But if you learned your virtue-signalling at bsh, don’t expect me to stick around. I prefer my hockey without a side of agenda-pushing.
