What a special night.

Sunday night is Hockey Fights Cancer night for the Philadelphia Flyers and they’re making sure to make it a special one for Oskar Lindblom.

Lindblom was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma in December of 2019 and rang the bell after his final treatment on July 2nd. His most recent scans show that he is still cancer-free.

Hockey Fights Cancer night is always special, but it’s going to be extra special for Lindblom.

Oskar Lindblom took a solo lap prior to warmups on Hockey Fights Cancer night.

Then, all of the Flyers came onto the ice in #23 Oskar Lindblom jerseys.

You absolutely love to see it.

Then it was onto the game.

Oskar Lindblom received a huge ovation during the first TV timeout. He saluted the crowd and fought back tears on the bench.

What a moment.

Lindblom has been a bright ray of sunshine for the Flyers, the hockey world, and people battling cancer everywhere. His journey back to playing hockey within a year of diagnosis is nothing short of remarkable.

This is definitely going to be a special night for Oskar and the Flyers started it off the right way.
