Flyers announce schedule for Rookie Camp & games against Rangers

The Philadelphia Flyers announced their schedule and roster for 2021 Rookie Camp on Tuesday. Rookie Camp will begin this Thursday, September 16 at Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, NJ, according to President of Hockey Operations & General Manager Chuck Fletcher.

The camp will consist of on-ice sessions for the first two days and end with two rookie games against the New York Rangers. The Flyers rookies will take on the Rangers rookies on Friday, September 18th at the MSG Training Center in Tarrytown, NY and the following day, Saturday, September 19, at Flyers Skate Zone.

Expected attendees include first-round draft picks Tyson Foerster (2020), Morgan Frost (2017), and Cam York (2019). Several others who have made their debut in the NHL will be in Rookie Campa as well, including Wade Allison, Jackson Cates, Tanner Laczynski, Maksim Sushko, and Egor Zamula.

The Rookie Camp precedes the Flyers main training camp, which will begin on Wed., Sept. 22 with on-ice sessions beginning on Thu., Sept. 23. More information about the main camp will be announced at a later date.

Can fans attend Rookie Camp and Training Camp?

The Flyers Skate Zone will be closed to fans during Rookie Camp from Sept. 16-19, but the team will welcome fans back to the facility when training camp begins on Thursday, Sept. 23. Final information about health and safety precautions for fans will be released closer to training camp.

Here is the complete schedule for Flyers Rookie Camp:

THU-FRI: SEPT. 16-17

  • On-Ice: 10:15 – 11:15 a.m.
  • On-Ice: 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

SAT., SEPT. 18:

  • GAME @ NY Rangers: 3:00 p.m.
    MSG Training Center – Tarrytown, NY

SUN., SEPT. 19:

  • GAME vs. NY Rangers: 5:00 p.m.
    Flyers Skate Zone – Voorhees, NJ

Flyers Hockey is now just days away. The long offseason is nearly over and we can look ahead to the 2021-22 season.
