The Philadelphia Flyers announced their full roster and schedule for Training Camp starting later this week. Flyers Training Camp will begin on Thursday, September 23rd and run through Friday, October 8th.

The Flyers have five preseason games during that time, starting with next Tuesday’s opener at home against the New York Islanders.

The first three days of training camp will feature the roster split into three groups with identical schedules each day and groups switching time slots. On the following two days, the Flyers will have scrimmages between two groups.

The team announced last week that fans will be able to attend Training Camp.

“My expectation is we’ll probably ask for fans to wear a mask,” Chuck Fletcher said last week. “Otherwise, people will be allowed in to watch practices like they normally did. We’re working through those protocols right now.”

Flyers Training Camp Roster & Injuries

The Flyers have 58 players attending camp (33 forwards, 20 defensemen, five goaltenders). The Flyers Training Camp roster can be found here.

The team also announced a slew of injuries ahead of training camp.

  • Kevin Hayes (abdominal surgery on 9/21 – out 6-8 weeks)
  • Samuel Morin (right knee surgery to have loose bodies removed on 9/10 – out 6-8 weeks)
  • Wade Allison (right ankle sprain – out indefinitely)
  • Zayde Wisdom (shoulder surgery – out indefinitely)
  • Cooper Zech (upper body – out 6-8 weeks)

The absence of Hayes and Allison tests the Flyers’ depth early on. Morgan Frost will be among the young players to keep an eye on. The Flyers’ depth signings of Nate Thompson and Derick Brassard will certainly be in the bottom-six mix as well.
