Some thoughts along the Philadelphia Flyers’ trail, with the end of this loooooong season finally in sight.

Draft-lottery update

The Flyers are crippled by injuries, making a bad team even worse.

Silver lining: With each loss, their draft-lottery odds increase. In other words, they have a better chance to get the opportunity to draft center Shane Wright.

The Flyers have eight games left: two with Buffalo, Toronto, Montreal, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Winnipeg, and Ottawa.

Philly (23-40-11; 57 points) has the NHL’s fourth-worst record. Only Arizona
