All in all, it wasn’t a bad road trip for the Philadelphia Flyers.

They went 1-1-2, finishing the four-game journey with a 2-1 victory in New Jersey as Carter Hart made 48 saves and stole the win.

“Cartr Hart keeps us in every game,” Travis Konecnyh said after scoring the winning goal on a third-period breakaway.

Konecny has seven points, including five goals, over his last eight games.

Philly (10-14-7) is now 2-1 against New Jersey (21-7-2) this season.

The trip included a 2-1 overtime loss in Vegas, a 5-4 overtime defeat in Arizona, and a 3-2 loss in Colorado, so all four games were one-goal decisions.

The Flyers’ power play was 1 for 9 (11.1%)) on the trip, and their penalty kill was 7 for 9 (77.8%).

Upcoming games

The Flyers will host the New York Rangers on Saturday at 7 p.m. The teams met Nov. 1 at Madison Square Garden, and the Rangers recorded a 1-0 overtime win. Carter Hart was terrific, stopping 35 of 36 shots and getting the Flyers a point. A stolen point.

New York had a big advantage in shots (36-19) and shot attempts (73-40).

On Tuesday, the Flyers meet Johnny Gaudreau and the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Wells Fargo Center.

Gaudreau, 29, has 31 points (10-21) in 29 games with the Blue Jackets. He signed a seven-year, $68.25 million deal ($9.75 million annual cap hit) with Columbus in July. The South Jersey native had a career season a year ago, finishing with 40 goals and 115 points with Calgary.

Breakaways

The Flyers are 30th in the NHL in goals scored per game (2.39), while the Rangers are 18th (3.07). … … Hart said Joel Farabee’s fight Thursday against Brendan Smith was “huge” and helped to “get the boys going.” … Tony DeAngelo has missed the last four games, the last three because of a “family situation,” per John Tortorella. … Defenseman Cam York is plus-3 over his four games with the Flyers. … James van Riemsdyk has five points over his last three games. … The Blueshirts’ Artemi Panarin has dealt seven assists in the last five games.

A few thoughts…

I give the Flyers credit for playing competitively with this roster. It’s remarkable that they are in these games and even winning occasionally.

When Columbus comes in, we won’t see Jake Voracek who has said he likely won’t play the rest of the season due to concussion concerns. I hate to think this, because head injuries are serious and I don’t know what he is experiencing, but I did wonder a little if he’s pulling a Nolan Patrick – I don’t feel like playing for this crappy team, so I’ll just sit back and collect my millions.

Sam, have you dug around to find out what is going on with Tony De Angelo? The only big signing of the summer and now he’s on non-roster status. Fletcher’s track record as GM just got even worse.
