The Philadelphia Flyers are deeply involved in the community, especially around the holidays.

Take Monday, for instance.

After they practice Monday in Voorhees, the players will be visiting kids from all over the area.

Many players will head to Wilmington, Del., where they will visit kids at Nemours Children’s Hospital. They will play holiday-themed BINGO with the children, and other games, and spend time with the youngsters and their families.

They will also spend time with kids at St. Christopher’s Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia.

In addition, Philadelphia Flyers forwards Sean Couturier and Joel Farabee will join Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education coaches at the Leveling the Playing Field warehouse in Sharon Hill, where they will select hockey gear for the Snider student-athletes. The initiative was made possible by Flyers Charities, which donated $40,000 to help LPF collect equipment and distribute it to the young hockey players.
