Carchidi: Flyers’ John Tortorella Gets Props for Developing Youth

Give new Philadelphia Flyers coach John Tortorella credit for recognizing Travis Konecny’s abilities and putting him on the penalty kill.

And give the 64-year-old coach props for the development of several young players.

That’s a good sign for the future because the Flyers will probably have a fire sale before the March 3 trade deadline and add prospects and draft picks.

At least that’s the way it should go.
