NHL Daily: Could Flyers-Vegas be Trade Partners? B’s May Get Better

Published

on

Carter Hart, Philadelphia Flyers
Flyers goalie Carter Hart was injured in Friday's loss to Carolina. Philly will resume practicing Tuesday afternoon.

We will knows the extent of goalie Carter Hart’s injury when the Philadelphia Flyers resume practice Tuesday in Voorhees at 2 p.m.

Maybe he makes a quick recovery and is able to make the upcoming West Coast trip?

But if Hart — who was injured when he collided with Carolina’s Seth Jarvis on Friday — is going to be sidelined for a while, the Flyers will have a decision to make.

Do they go with rookies Felix Sandstrom and Samuel Ersson and take their lumps — and probably improve their draft position? Or do they pursue a trade and try to be more competitive? If they did the latter, the Vegas Golden Knights have a surplus of goaltenders and would likely deal one of them.

Speaking of potential deals, could powerful Boston get even better before the March 3 trade deadline? The holiday trade freeze ends today.
