The Philadelphia Flyers’ win streak came to a screeching halt on Sunday night. They’ll look to start a new streak against the host Buffalo Sabres (20-15-2) on Monday.

Buffalo has been a fun team to watch this season and has some electrifying players on its roster.

The Sabres are coming off a thrilling 6-5 overtime victory over the Wild on  Saturday. Rasmus Dahlin posted five points while Victor Olofsson’s two goals helped secure the victory.

The Flyers (15-18-7) took a beating against the Maple Leafs on Sunday. The Leafs used three unanswered goals to pull away in the 6-2 victory. John Tavares, Calle Jarnkrok, and Mitch Marner all posted three points. Travis Konecny did stay hot, scoring a goal in his sixth straight.

Tony DeAngelo was benched early in the second period and did not play another shift. Neither DeAngelo nor John Tortorella spoke much on the decision.

“We just can’t overcome some of the things we give them for free – and I’m not taking anything away from Toronto,” Torotorella said about what went wrong. “They played a good game. Just too many things for free.”
