Flyers’ Cam Atkinson and Wife, Natalie, Welcome Third Child

It has been a trying season for the Philadelphia Flyers. But every so often, there’s a spark of joy we can take away from everything. And that came recently for injured right winger Cam Atkinson and his growing family.
Atkinson and his wife, Natalie, welcomed their third child into the world on Jan. 3. Atkinson took to social media a few days later, introducing everyone to his daughter, Fallon Ann Atkinson.

Cam and Natalie have two sons, Caden and Declan. The former turned two years old last March, and the latter turned four in July.
Excitement at home
Atkinson, 33, was featured on the Philadelphia Flyers’ “Beyond the Boards” documentary before the season. Most of the episode was centered on training camp and his relationship with John Tortorella. There was a segment that featured his wife and two sons at their home in Columbus. Natalie talked about what Cam is like as a husband and a father.
“He is always in full dad mode at home. He’s the best dad, he loves playing with the boys,” Natalie said. “He’s definitely the fun parent. He’ll take them outside and just roughhouse them, which they love.”
Natalie joked that she feels Cam may forget about her once their daughter arrives. Cam then talked about the family’s excitement for their first daughter.
“Once we got confirmation that it’s 100 percent a girl, you can imagine the excitement in our family,” Atkinson said on being a girl dad. “It’s gonna be a game changer. But she’ll have two big brothers to protect her.”
Atkinson, who was the team’s MVP in 2021-22, underwent neck surgery back in December and will miss the rest of the Philadelphia Flyers’ season. But it looks like he will have plenty of time to spend at home with the latest addition to his family.
