NHL Daily: Flyers, Caps Fade; Health Issues May Affect Market

The Philadelphia Flyers are fading. Ditto the Alex Ovechkin-less Washington Capitals.

Both teams have lost four in a row. The Flyers are virtually out of the playoff hunt. The Caps are still very alive, but they need to regroup. Quickly.

Meanwhile, health issues surrounding Chicago’s Jonathan Toews and San Jose’s San Jose’s Timo Meier could affect the trade market. It would now be a longshot for Toews to be dealt at the March 3 trade deadline.
