The Philadelphia Flyers have lost four straight and 12 of their last 14, improving their position in the draft lottery.

On Friday, they get a chance to hurt a team’s playoff chances when they host the high-scoring Buffalo Sabres.

Buffalo (33-28-6) is six points out of the final wild-card spot (Islanders), but has three games in hand on the Isles. The Sabres are trying to avenge a 4-0 loss to the Flyers on Jan. 9.

Carter Hart, who missed Tuesday’s 5-3 loss to Vegas because of an illness, will face one of the NHL’s best offenses.

The Philadelphia Flyers (24-32-11), on the other hand, have struggled mightily to find the back of the net. They have averaged just 2.05 goals in their last 20 games, during which they have four wins (4-12-4).
