Flyers Rookie Series Finale Preview: Lines, How to Stream
In the Rookie Series finale against the New York Rangers, the Philadelphia Flyers are giving Matvei Michkov and Oliver Bonk a break, as rookie camp practices resume on Sunday morning.
Saturday’s finale, played at 5:05 p.m. at the PPL Center in Allentown, PA., will be live-streamed on the Philadelphia Flyers website.
Generally speaking, the lines will remain the same or close to the same from Friday, with a few changes due to some absences.
Flyers Lines
Forwards (12)
Elliot Desnoyers – Jett Luchanko – Alexis Gendron
Josh Zakreski (ATO) – Massimo Rizzo – Samu Tuomaala
Santeri Sulku – J.R. Avon – Matt Miller (AHL)
Zayde Wisdom – Jacob Gaucher (AHL) – Sawyer Boulton (AHL)
Defense (6)
Emil Andrae – Helge Grans
Hunter McDonald – Spencer Gill
Emile Chouinard (AHL) – Matteo Mann
Friday night’s starter, Carson Bjarnason, is going to start for the Flyers again on Saturday night, though he is expected to share the crease with Sam Hillebrandt (ATO) to some degree. Bjarnason was outstanding in the first Rookie Series game against the Rangers, despite allowing three goals in the 4-3 shootout loss.
Michkov and Bonk get the night off and will be joined in the press box by Sam Sedley, Denver Barkey (illness/precautionary), Carter Sotheran (illness/precautionary), and potentially Ethan Samson and Nick Capone.
Capone and Samson are going to dress for warmups, per coach Ian Laperriere, but will not play as long as warmups go according to plan and nobody gets injured.
For those curious, the Flyers rookies will return to the Flyers training center for practice, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Those practices are free and open to the public.
