Flyers @ Oilers: Luchanko Returns; Andrae Makes Debut?

Slowly but surely making their way through a season-opening four-game road trip, the Philadelphia Flyers will travel to Edmonton to face the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place at 10 p.m. in the penultimate game of this away slate.
However, the Flyers may be doing so without some familiar faces.
The team has already announced that rookie Jett Luchanko, who watched Saturday night’s game against Calgary from the press box, will return to the lineup.
As for some of the veterans? Their statuses are less certain.

How to watch the Flyers game
Tuesday night’s Flyers game will be nationally televised on ESPN only. Fans who are unable to watch the game can hear a broadcast on 97.5 The Fanatic, as well as Flyers Radio 24/7.
According to the traveling beats, Joel Farabee was at Tuesday’s morning skate and is good to go against the Oilers.
On the other hand, though, forward Scott Laughton, who played all 82 regular season games for the Flyers last season, and defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen were not.
As a result, rookie defenseman Emil Andrae is likely to make his 2024-25 season debut after getting four games with the Flyers at the very beginning of last season and spending the rest of the year with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in the AHL.
Pending John Tortorella’s final lineup decisions, it also seems like veteran tough guy Nick Deslauriers will make his season debut, too.
Tortorella said earlier in the road trip that he wants to get Deslauriers in the lineup and start to get guys going. After Cates drew in for Saturday’s game against Calgary, look for Deslauriers to do the same, potentially on Tuesday night.
