Flyers Game
How to Watch Flyers Game vs. Bruins (11/02/2024); Projected Lines, Notes, & More
The 4-6-1 Philadelphia Flyers are suddenly playing good hockey again, with three wins in their last four games. Saturday’s game against the Boston Bruins will be a gut check, as the desperate Bruins are also 4-6-1 and massively underperforming expectations to this point.
Maybe all the offseason monkey business with Jeremy Swayman’s contract was a big distraction for him and the team?
The standout Bruins goalie is 3-4-1 in his eight starts this season, but has only a 3.57 GAA and a .884 save percentage. If Swayman starts against the Flyers, he’ll have to outshine Sam Ersson, who pitched a 25-save shutout against Boston on Tuesday night.
Additionally, the Flyers have, evidently, still not completely found their groove offensively at 5-on-5. Matvei Michkov and Travis Konecny are still without goals at 5-on-5 this season, so Saturday’s Flyers game represents another opportunity to right the ship as far as the stats column goes.
Expect head coach John Tortorella to, surprisingly, deploy an unchanged lineup for a third game in a row.
Saturday afternoon’s Flyers game is scheduled to begin just after 1 p.m.

Some other things to consider as we head into the game against the Bruins:
Top-six center Pavel Zacha has just one goal, two assists, and three points in 11 games this season, including just one assist in his last five games.
David Pastrnak, who was drafted in the Wells Fargo Center in 2014, has 10 points in 11 games, including six goals. In his career against the Flyers, Pastrnak has 26 goals, 17 assists, and 43 points in only 32 games.
They might want to watch out for that guy.
Sam Ersson, likely to be the Flyers starting goalie, has stopped 45 of the last 46 shots he’s faced, shutting out the Bruins back on Tuesday. After giving up nine goals across his previous two starts, Ersson clearly found a groove in net in the last few days.

If Torts wants to generate more offense from the blueline perhaps pair up Sanheim with Drysdale…and then with Risto paired with Seeler, that would be the shut-down defensive pairing
