Jamie Drysdale vs. Cutter Gauthier
For the first time since the January 8th trade between the Anaheim Ducks and the Philadelphia Flyers, Jamie Drysdale and Cutter Gauthier will play their former teams.
Gauthier never suited up in a regular season game for the Flyers, but was once a highly touted prospect for the Flyers. Gauthier refused to play for the Flyers, so he was traded to Anaheim for Jamie Drysdale and a 2025 Second-Round draft pick. Drysdale played 157 games for the Anaheim Ducks before getting traded to Philly. It will be a homecoming for Drysdale, while Gauthier said, “It’s definitely been a game circled on my calendar and I’m super excited to play.”
Recent History
The Flyers are 18-16-5 against Anaheim all time, while they are 7-3 in their last 10 meetings. The two teams split their series last season.
On Gauthier: “Circled on my calendar…” Uh-huh. Well, January 11 is circled on Flyers’ fans calendars, so get ready.
Well said
