Philadelphia Flyers news

After a 3-1 win last night in Anaheim, the Philadelphia Flyers (16-16-4) will head north to Los Angeles to take on the Kings (20-10-5) at Crypto.Com Arena. The Kings, like the Flyers, are 2-3 in their last five games.

Projected Lines

Matvei Michkov did not see any time in the third period of last night’s contest in what head coach John Tortorella said was a “coaching decision.” With Olle Lycksell still up with the Flyers, Michkov could find himself in the press box in the near future.

The Flyers have not made any official lineup changes, and after a win against Anaheim, there may not be any lineup changes.

Forwards

Owen Tippett – Morgan Frost – Matvei Michkov

Tyson Foerster – Noah Cates – Bobby Brink

Joel Farabee – Ryan Poehling – Garnet Hathaway

Defensemen

What to Watch For

Keep an eye on the Noah Cates-centered line. Cates has scored in the Flyers’ last five games, and Tyson Foerster and Bobby Brink have played just as well as Cates.

The line has combined for 15 points in the last five contests, including Foersters 3-point night (2G, 1A) the last time the Flyers faced the Kings.

Previous Matchup

The Flyers are 4-4-2 in their last 10 matchups againts LA, including the 7-3 loss at home earlier in the month. The Kings won that contest thanks to a four-goal third period.

How to Watch

Puck drop is slated for 9:00 p.m. EST, and you can watch the game on NBC Sports Philadelphia or stream it on ESPN+. The local radio broadcast is on 97.5 the Fanatic.

Will be interesting to see…just a few weeks ago players rumored to be on the move between the two teams were Frost, Brink or Farabee……for Alex Turcotte.

Is that worth it? I’m not sure Turcotte is better than any of the three we’d be giving up.
