Farabee to the PK
One thing to keep an eye on is Joel Farebee’s addition to the penalty kill. The Flyer had one of the best penalty-kill units last year in terms of scoring short-handed goals. That was largely thanks to the dominance from Scott Laughton and Travis Konecny.
Head coach John Tortorella took Konecny off the penalty kill and replaced him with Farabee, saying he wanted to get Farabee more involved.
It will be worth keeping an eye on this change to see how it affects the Flyers PK unit as a whole.
Previous Matchup
The Flyers are 6-5-2 against the Golden Knights all time. In their last meeting, the Knights beat the Flyers 5-4 in a shootout at the Wells Fargo Center.
