“It was one way to make an off day even better,” Flyers forward Rodrigo Abols said about getting the call up to the NHL.

Abols got the call yesterday, telling him he would need to report to Vorhees for Monday’s practice with the Flyers. He got the call to fill in Ryan Poehling’s roster spot as Poehling heads to the IR.

Abols is excited to be back in the US and looks forward to playing in the NHL.

“I kind of felt it (excitement) inside. From the last time I  was here with all of the COVID and stuff, there’s some questions unanswered for me. So I kind of just didn’t want to let this opportunity slip.” Said Abols about the opportunity to play in the NHL and the decision to return to America.
