The Devils will continue to play without their captain, Nico Hischier, who is out week-to-week. The Flyers will look to get healthier ahead of Wednesday’s game, with Egor Zamula (Upper body) and Sean Couturier (Illness) being late scratches in the last game.

Will Brink Continue the Streak?

One player to keep an eye on in this matchup is Bobby Brink. Brink has scored a power-play goal in both games against the Devils this season, and he will look to continue that stretch.

Brink has been playing extremley well latley, and is being rewarded for his play with his scoring. He scored his previous goal with a one-timer. It was a powerful shot that I quite honestly did not know Brink had in his bag.

In 48 games this season, Brink has 22 points with seven goals and 15 assists.

More of Michkov?

In Monday’s meeting between the two teams, Matvei Michkov skated less than 10 minutes of time-on-ice.

While factors like fatgigue and a late game lead could play into why Michkov played such a small amount, you want to see more from the young star.

Michkov is still has the second most points on this Flyers team, and should get more on ice time to continue producing for the Flyers. He has 14 goals and 20 assists for 34 total points this season.

Previous Matchup

As mentioned, the Flyers took the first matchup between the two teams in the home-and-home Monday night. That was the second win against the Devils for the Flyers this season, forcing at very a worst a tie in the season series.

The Flyerds can clinch the season series with a win on Wednesday night.
