Garnet Hathaway Back in Flyers’ Lineup
Flyers forward Garnet Hathaway will make his return to the lineup on Monday, which was confirmed by head coach Brad Shaw after morning skate.
Hathaway last suited up on February 27th in Pittsburgh. He exited the game after a big hit, which caused him to hit the ice hard. He was labeled with an “upper-body” injury.
Getting Hathaway back in the lineup will bring a nice spark to the Flyers’ bottom six. He is an energy guy. He’ll make the big hits and provide some much-needed spark and physicality for the bottom of the lineup.
This year, he added a touch of scoring this season that he really had not had since 2021/22, when he had 26 points. He was pacing to come close to his career high in points this season (26). He needs just one more point to match his second-highest point total.
Monday’s game will also be career game number 600 for Hathaway.

Last Game Before a Tough Stretch
Monday’s game against Nashville is the last game on the Flyers’ remaining schedule that is not against a team fighting for a playoff spot.
With the exception of the season finale in Buffalo, the Flyers have games against the Canadiens, Rangers, Islanders, Senators, and Blue Jackets. Only two of the five games are at home. Each of those teams is fighting for the two wild-card spots, with Ottawa having a comfortable lead with the first spot.
Nashville is just one of two matchups that the Flyers have remaining against teams that are not entering desperation mode.
Previous Matchups
The last 10 games between the Flyers and Predators have been pretty even. In the previous 10 meetings, the Flyers are 4-4-2 against the Predators.
Sean Couturier leads all Flyers in points scored against the Predators in the last 10 games, with six points (3G, 3 A) in six games played. Travis Sanheim and Travis Konecny follow Couturier on the list with five points each in 10 games played.

Risto shut down for the season. So expect him to be on the roster come Sep.
Need him for size. Could always trade him at the deadline if they no longer see him in their long term plans. Hopefully they trade York since he has plateaued and is small.
