Updated Flyers Prospect Rankings After the NHL Draft (+)

The Philadelphia Flyers gave their prospect pool a much-needed refresh during the 2025 NHL Draft.
Philly selected a total of NINE players over the course of the draft, including six during the first two rounds. While the need for a left-shot defenseman was clearly ignored through the course of the draft, the Flyers proved their confidence in the goaltending prospects that they have by not selecting one.
The team did address one of the most significant organizational needs in the draft: the center position. In fact, the Flyers drafted four centers over the course of the draft, including two that immediately crack the team’s top 10 prospects, in my opinion.
The other need the Flyers filled during the draft: size and physicality. Heading into the draft, the Flyers’ prospect pool was relatively small and lacked physicality. While the front office may say that size did not matter during the draft, it was undoubtedly on the back of their minds. Seven of the nine players picked by the Flyers were over six feet tall. Not to mention, after speaking with most of them, the term “physical player” seemed to be a common self-descriptor.
So, the Flyers updated their prospect pool. Now, let’s update the prospect rankings!
