Flyers Find Stop-Gap Goalie; Agree to Terms With Dan Vladar

The Philadelphia Flyers have found their stop-gap goaltender.
Per the team, they have agreed to terms with goalie Dan Vladar on a two-year deal with $3.35M annually.
The team has already announced the move.
Vladar spent the last four years in Calgary where he served as the Flames backup netminder.
Last season, Vladar had a record of 12-11-6 in 29 starts and 30 games played.
Vladar has a .898 save-percentage and a 2.80 GAA.
It seems very clear that Ivan Fedotov has quickly become the No.3 and Aleksei Kolosov’s future is more in question than ever.
Vladar has never appeared in more than 30 games in a season, so it will be interesting to see how the workload is split in Philly this season.
In his career, Vladar is one win shy of 50, and has an exactly 3.00 GAA, and a .895 SV%. While he is not exactly the 1A/1B goaltender I was hoping for, Vladar is certainly an improvement for the team’s goaltending.
For now, the Flyers have their stop-gap goaltender.

Was hoping for an Alex Lyon reunion….but Dan V. will do for two years until Zavragin or Bjnarson are ready..
Lyon signed for 1.5 and DB goes and pays Vlader 3.35? Severe overpay.
Darth Vader indeed, will he use the (force)to keep the puck out of the net
All kidding aside, the flyers just need a consistent goalie who can make the routine saves and occasionally the tougher ones.
Well, good for a rebuilding club and keep us in the draft lottery odds. But, can maybe flip at the deadline and retain salary, will only have 1 more yr left after this season.
