Flyers Release 2025-26 Schedule

Published

on

The Philadelphia Flyers have officially released their 2025-26 regular season schedule.

They open the season taking on the back-to-back defending champion Florida Panthers on the road, October 9th.

The home opener, also against Florida, will be October 13th.

The New York Islanders, who could be featuring No. 1 overall pick Matthew Schaefer, will come to town for the first time October 25th at 12:30 PM.

October 28th looks to be the date of the NHL Frozen Frenzy, with all 32 teams in action. The Flyers have the Penguins that day.

With the Eagles playing on Black Friday, the Flyers will be playing a rare road-game against the Islanders.

Ottawa comes to town on February 5th as the last game before the Olympic break, then the Flyers head to Washington on the 25th for the first game out of the break.

The Flyers conclude the season on April 14th at home against the Montreal Canadiens.

Not Offsides

Once again the NHL sticks it to the Flyers with the schedule. We’re opening at Florida?!! Why? So the Flyers get to watch them raise their Cup banner and Florida has a likely win to cap the celebration. Why not teams they beat in the playoffs, like Carolina or Tampa (their cross-state rivals)? No, let’s find another way to embarrass the Flyers.

Rico’s Active Stick

???
The Panthers open their season with the banner raising vs the Blackhawks two days earlier. How is this the league “embarrassing” the Flyers?

Not Offsides

OK, I assumed it was their first game, too. So, thanks for the correction on that. Still, two of our first three against the best team in the league and our first four against top teams because it will be amusing for the Flyers to start 0-4.

Bob

I’m betting that Jack Hughes will not be in the line-up when the NJ Devils play the Flyers on Tues. 04/07/2026 due to a shoulder injury.

Romus

By Oct 26th…after the first eight games…we will know what this team is made of and what lies ahead….maybe another top of the lottery pick like a Ryan Roobroeck.
