It’s another Flyers preseason game day! This time, the metro showdown will take place in Chocolate Town USA.

On the 9/25 edition of the PhHN Daily, we take a brief look at the game, and the latest on the Philadelphia Flyers.

Elsewhere, one Western Conference team is looking closely at former Flyer Carter Hart, but should they sign him?

What about an update on another big RFA contract situation? We even talk possible replacements in the event he doesn’t sign. Get all of that and more on the 9/25 PhHN Daily.

Philadelphia Flyers

The Flyers are off to Hershey for some preseason action against the Washington Capitals. I’ll be heading to The Sweetest Place on Earth to attend my first preseason hockey game this year.

The Flyers have given both groups of NHL camp players a shot in game, and could look to start shaking things up, mixing groups to see what every player can do.

When the roster comes out, we will give a more in-depth primer, along with predicted lines.

Philly Hockey Now: Did you miss the Flyers’ last preseason game? Well, if you did, you’re in luck. Here’s some thoughts after the 4-2 loss to Montreal on Tuesday.

What about bubble watch? How are the camo battles playing out? Well, it seems like Nikita Grebenkin is making a strong case for his Flyers debut.

NHL Rumors & News

Vegas Hockey Now: The Vegas Golden Knights are one of the early favorites to land former Flyers goaltender Carter Hart. In fact, signs may be pointing to it. While they could certainly use the depth in goal, Hannah Kirkell writes why Vegas should have no interest.

LeBrun: The New Jersey Devils and RFA defenseman Luke Hughes are reportedly “in a different ballpark” in negotiations.

It’s hard to imagine Hughes will be around for the start of the season at this point.

New Jersey Hockey Now: Ok, let’s say Hughes isn’t with Jersey at the start of the year. Who fills in? Sheldon Keefe has put the pressure on Ethan Edwards to fill the gap.

San Jose Hockey Now: Yaroslav Askarov is set to take over the Sharks net this season, but how does he prepare to go from an AHL No. 1 to NHL No. 1 in a single year, at just 23 years old?
