Flyers Game
Flyers Game 3, Home Opener; Lines, Notes, & How to Watch vs. Panthers
For the first time this season, the Philadelphia Flyers are at home. After a 2-1 battle to start the Flyers’ season, the Florida Panthers come to Xfinity Mobile Arena, formerly known as the Wells Fargo Center, to take on the Flyers.
The Flyers have picked up a point this season, but remain winless at 0-1-1. Florida, coming fresh off a 6-2 win over the Ottawa Senators, is still undefeated. They are 3-0-0 on the young season.
Emil Andrae makes his return to Philadelphia, being called up just two games into the season. The 23-year-old defenseman started the year in Lehigh after not having the strongest training camp. With a struggling Flyers blueline and Cam York still on the IR, Andrae is set to make his 2025-26 season debut.
Here is how the Flyers are projected to line up for their 7:00 p.m. EST matchup against the Panthers.

3 Things to Keep Watch For
Of the three main headlines in Monday’s home opener, keep an eye on Emil Andrae. After being reassigned to the AHL before camp even ended, I am sure he wants to prove everyone wrong. Especially after seeing how the bottom six of the team’s blueline has been this season, Andrae has a chance to stick.
Andrae is a player I am keeping a close eye on tonight, especially against a tough and physical Panthers team.
The Flyers are keeping their forward lines intact after Saturday’s loss in Carolina. One reason this brings significance is that it means Jett Luchanko and Nikita Grebenkin are getting their second straight game. Grebenkin looked like an everyday player in his Flyers debut. Now, let’s see if Luchanko can make himself stand out. After Monday’s game, Luchanko will have seven more games before the big decision.
The last thing is Dan Vladar’s second start. Vladar looked fantastic in his first start with the Flyers against the Panthers. Can he repeat it? The team’s goaltending (in a very small two-game sample size) has been far better this season than last. Will it continue?
Previous Matchups
The Panthers handed the Flyers their first loss of the season when they beat them 2-1 this past Thursday. As a reminder of how they got to this score, Noah Cates scored the first Flyers’ goal of the season, and the only goal of the game. Tyson Foerster earned the only assist on the score.
Anton Lundell scored on the power play in the second period for the Panthers, then Brad Marchand scored the game-winner early in the third period.
