The Philadelphia Flyers (16-9-6) play game two of their four-game road trip on Tuesday when they take on the Montreal Canadiens (17-11-4) at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

Philadelphia enters the game fresh off back-to-back shootout losses to the Carolina Hurricanes and an overtime loss to the Vegas Golden Knights the game before that. Overall, they are 1-1-3 in their previous five games, and 5-2-3 in the last 10.

The Habs are 2-2-1 in their previous five games, with their latest being a big win vs. the Edmonton Oilers. They’re 5-4-1 over their last 10 games.

The Flyers will look to avoid four straight games without a win. Puck drop is at 7:00 p.m. EST in Montreal.

Rasmus Ristolainen is set to make his season debut as the 3RD.

Things to watch

The last time these two teams met, the Flyers came out of nowhere and had a three-goal first period. That was answered by a four-goal second period by Montreal, with Nikita Grebenikin netting his first (and only) career NHL goal.

It was a high-scoring game, that shocker, went to a shootout. Trevor Zegras netted the lone shootout goal, giving the Flyers the 5-4 win during the first of three meetings between the two teams.

The Flyers have had three straight overtime losses. They have not lost three games in a row this season until this point. They will look to avoid making it four consecutive games without two points on Tuesday.

The Canadiens have an elite power play, and Philadelphia’s penalty kill has been tested lately. A key to victory for the Flyers will be keeping that Montreal man-advantage unit off the ice.

The Canadiens score a lot of goals, but also let up a lot. They rank 9th in goals for at 3.22 GF/GP, but 28th in GA/GP with 3.47. Expect Dan Vladar to be tested, but also look for the Flyers to find some scoring.
