Flyers Game 34: Lines, Notes, & How to Watch vs. Rangers
The Philadelphia Flyers (17-10-6) stay in the state of New York, as they head to the Big Apple to take on the New York Rangers (17-15-4) at Madison Square Garden.
Philadelphia will wrap up its four-game road trip following Saturday’s game. The Flyers have gone 1-1-1 during their three games on the road, including their collapse vs. the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday. They are 1-1-3 during their last five games, and 4-3-3 over their last 10.
The Rangers enter Saturday’s matinee matchup after an overtime win against the St. Louis Blues. They are 2-3-0 in their last five games, with both wins coming in overtime. In the Rangers’ past 10 games, they are 4-4-2. Three of the four wins came in OT.
Can the Flyers bounce back from a tough loss vs. the Sabres with a big game at The World’s Most Famous Arena?
Puck drop is at 12:30 p.m. EST at Madison Square Garden. Here is how the Flyers are expected to line up.

Things to watch
The Flyers and Rangers match up very, very well. Both teams have struggled to find goal scoring. The Flyers are 23rd in GF/GP at 2.85, while the Rangers are 30th at 2.50.
With their goal-scoring woes, both teams have really solid goaltending. The Flyers are 11th in the league with 2.79 GA/GP, where the Rangers rank above them with their 7th-ranked 2.67 GA/GP.
Both teams are separated by .01% in their penalty-kill percentage, with the Rangers 12th at 81.8%, and the Flyers 13th at 81.7%. The Rangers, not surprisingly, are much better on the power play than the Flyers. That could be an area where the difference in the game is made.
Lastly, Flyers’ prospect Denver Barkey has been recalled by the Flyers and will have a shot to make his NHL debut on Saturday. There has been no word as to whether or not he will draw into the lineup against the Rangers. However, there is no better place to make your NHL debut than Madison Square Garden. It could be a pretty special moment for the rookie.
