Philadelphia Flyers
Flyers Game 36: Lines, Notes, & How to Watch @ Blackhawks
For one last time before the holiday break, the Philadelphia Flyers (18-10-7) will take the ice, this time at the United Center, as they take on the Chicago Blackhawks (13-16-6) at 9:00 p.m. EST.
The Flyers enter Tuesday’s matchup in Chicago after a dominating 5-2 win vs. the Vancouver Canucks on Monday. Philadelphia is 2-1-2 in its last five games.
Chicago enters Tuesday’s matchup on a five-game pointless streak. They have lost each of their last five games in regulation — not good. The Blackhawks will be hungry to snap that before the break. But can they?
The puck drop is at 9:00 p.m. EST. Here is how the Flyers are expected to line up.

Things to watch
In Monday’s win vs. the Canucks, the Flyers fourth line had its best game of the season. Nikita Grebenkin showed the player he was in the preseason, Rodrigo Abols picked up two apples (how do you like them Abols). Carl Grundstrom continues to score. It was the best that unit has looked all season. Assuming Rick Tocchet doesn’t try to fix what isn’t broken, look for them to build off that performance.
Matvei Michkov scored his first goal of December, and his first since November 29th on Monday night. However, it was en empty netter. Knowing Michkov as a competitor, that was not good enough. With one last game before a brief break, I am predicting a big game from the 21-year-old.
In his first two games in the NHL, Denver Barkey has absolutely proved he belongs. He has his first two NHL points, both primary assists vs. the Rangers. Now, look for Barkey to score his first NHL goal. He was all over the puck on Monday vs. Vancouver, and came close a couple of times. Could he get No. 1 on Tuesday?
The Blackhawks remain without Connor Bedard for this game, as he is still out with an injury. Bedard has been a spark plug for the Blackhawks this season — it’s a big loss. With that, it should be a very winnable game, and a chance for the Flyers to start the Holiday break on a high note.
