Philadelphia Flyers’ goaltender Dan Vladar is officially Olympic-bound. The Flyers’ goalie has been named to the Czech roster for the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.

Vladar joins Lukas Dostal (ANA), who was named as one of the original six Olympians for Czechia, and Karel Vejmelka (UTH), who was also named to the roster on Tuesday as the three goalies.

This is an honor that Vladar has absolutely earned. The Czech netminder has had a career year in 2025-26, going 15-6-3 with a 2.39 GAA and a .910 SV%. In his six years in the NHL, Vladar has never been a No. 1 goalie, until this season, when he has clearly grabbed a hold of the Flyers’ goal.

His 24 games in goal this season are just 7 starts shy of his career high, and the season is just halfway through.

Vladar is now the fourth Flyer to be named to an Olympic roster, alongside Rodrigo Abols (LAT), Travis Sanheim (CAN), and Rasmus Ristolainen (FIN). Flyers’ bench boss Rick Tocchet will also be in Milan for the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Vladar and Czechia will open Olympic play against Sanheim and Canada on February 12th at Milano Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena.
