Flyers Officially Activate Jamie Drysdale off Injured Reserve
Reinforcements are coming.
The Philadelphia Flyers have officially activated defenseman Jamie Drysdale off injured reserve. He can return on Wednesday against the Buffalo Sabres.
Drysdale was placed on injured reserve on January 9th, retroactive to January 6th following a hit from Ross Johnston that took the Flyers’ defenseman out of the team’s win vs. the Anaheim Ducks.
The Flyers have been struggling, especially against the Tampa Bay Lightning. In two games at home, Tampa outscored Philadelphia 12-3. Drysdale has been excellent at 5v5 this season, and his return should be a big boost for the team.
Based on the morning skate lines, it looks like Drysdale is set to return on Wednesday, playing alongside Cam York on the second pair.
In 41 games this year, Drysdale has 3 goals and 18 points, as well as a +1 rating.
As for the other Flyers injury, it looks like Bobby Brink is still out of the lineup. Brink was injured in that same Ducks game as Drysdale.
Adam Ginning was loaned back the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (AHL) on Tuesday, so there was no corresponding move on Wednesday. The active roster sits at 23.
