Flyers News

  • Per Elliotte Friedman, at least one team asked the Flyers about potentially acquiring both Nick Seeler and Sean Walker in a package deal. For the time being though, the Flyers will be happy to keep both. [Report: Team Asks Flyers About Trading for Seeler And Walker]
  • The two defenders were also included in TSN’s first Trade Bait list, with both placing well inside the top-10. Seeler and Walker will both be free agents at the end of this season. [Flyers Defensemen Fill TSN’s First Trade Bait List]
  • Philadelphia got another huge win on Saturday, knocking off the slipping Colorado Avalanche, 5-2. Travis Konecny scored two points for the third consecutive game, and scored his 15th and 16th goals of the season.   • Ryan Poehling returned to practice on Monday, indicating that he is no longer sick and ready to get back into the Flyers’ lineup.

NHL News from National Hockey Now

  • Mikko Rantanen apparently wasn’t too pleased with Ismo Lehkonen’s comments (Artturi Lehkonen’s father). After the Avalanche’s win against the Calgary Flames, Rantanen let it be known. [Colorado Avalanche]
  • The NHL’s annual roster freeze is a little over a week away, and teams might be looking to find a goalie upgrade before then. The Canadiens have a few goalies that some top teams are or might be interested in. [Montreal Canadiens]
  • Jesse Puljujarvi is healthy enough to play again, and the Penguins were willing to take a chance on him. The onus is now on the player to prove that he is indeed an NHLer. [Pittsburgh Penguins]
