As we get closer to next week’s draft, Philly Hockey Now will publish mock drafts each day for the Philadelphia Flyers’ selections at No. 7 and 22.

Today’s selections were made by NHL.com. The player comments were written by me.

7. Flyers: Oliver Moore, C, USNTD

Moore’s speed and two-way skills remind scouts of Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin. Experts predict Moore has the ability to be a top-six center, something the Flyers need. He might be the fastest skater in the draft. He will attend college hockey powerhouse Minnesota in the fall.

22. Flyers: Lukas Dragicevic, D, Tri-City (WHL)

Presuming the Flyers go offense at 7, they might want to go defense at 22. Dragicevic has size at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds and is an excellent skater. He likes to lead the rush out of the defensive zone to look for offensive opportunities.

7. Flyers: Nate Danielson, C, Brandon, WHL

The Flyers need help at center and Danielson is big at 6-1, 185 and an excellent playmaker. He made the leap from 13 in the NHL Central Scouting’s midterm rankings to 7 in its final rankings. Thus, his stock is moving up in mock drafts.

22. Flyers: Etienne Morin, D, Moncton (QMJHL)

Morin isn’t big (6-foot, 180 pounds) but he is a good skater who can move the puck. He doesn’t shy away from a physical game. He has an excellent wrist shot and “excels in transition,” according to The Hockey Writers.
