Cutter Gauthier and two other Philadelphia Flyers prospects are scheduled to participate in USA Hockey’s World Junior Summer Showcase.

Forwards Cole Knuble and Devin Kaplan will join Gauthier at the four-team event in Plymouth, Mich., next week. Forty-five players were invited.

Team USA will be divided into two teams and will be joined by Team Sweden and Team Finland in the round-robin event that serves as preparation for the World Juniors in December in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Gauthier, who still is only 19, was the Philadelphia Flyers’ first-round draft pick in 2022, the fifth player taken overall. Gauthier was outstanding for Team USA in the World Championships in the spring, scoring seven goals and two assists in 10 games, as the Americans finished fourth.

Gauthier also was a standout at the World Juniors last winter, scoring 10 points in seven games, as the Americans won the bronze medal. He is returning to Boston College for his sophomore season.

Knuble was drafted in the fourth round in 2023, the 103rd player taken overall. Knuble, whose dad Mike played five of 16 seasons for the Flyers, was impressive in his pared down stint at Development Camp.

Knuble will play at Notre Dame in the fall.

Kaplan was a Flyers’ third-round pick (69th overall) in 2022. He also participated in the Flyers’ Development Camp earlier this month.

The Bridgewater, N.J., resident plays at Boston University, where he scored 23 points in 40 games. His Terriers advanced to the Frozen Four.

Each team will play four games in the showcase from July 29 to Aug. 4.
