The Philadelphia Flyers alumni defeated the Boston Bruins alumni, 6-2, in Friday night’s Flyers Alumni Game. General manager Danny Briere had an intermission press conference, offering some information on some recent transactions, including the Owen Tippett and Ryan Poehling contract extensions.
The Flyers signed winger Owen Tippett to a blockbuster eight-year, $49.6 million contract extension on Friday afternoon, giving him the longest term on the team’s roster.
Tippett wasn’t the only one to extend his stay in Philadelphia; Center Ryan Poehling has agreed to a two-year contract extension of his own, set to be signed and finalized in the coming days.
