• Both the Philadelphia Flyers and Jamie Drysdale himself shed some light on the injuries the young defenseman has been dealing with, and an offseason surgery is very much on the table as a result of them.
• At the end of Friday’s exit interview, Flyers general manager Danny Briere expressed his regret over the failed Arizona Coyotes franchise – the same one that drafted him back in 1996.
• Carchidi: What is the Flyers‘ No. 1 need heading into the 2024 offseason? How about aiming for a top-six center on the free agent market?
• The Flyers finally revealed the nature of the injury plaguing Rasmus Ristolainen, but did they make a mistake with his rehab? It sure sounds like they did.

• Despite their newly found success, the Vancouver Canucks are still invested in the future; on Thursday, they signed top prospect Vasily Podkolzin to a two-year, ‘prove it’ contract extension.
• Fresh off an NCAA championship with the University of Denver, the Colorado Avalanche signed top defense prospect Sean Behrens to his first NHL contract, starting in 2024-25.
• General manager Steve Yzerman is holding out hope that the Detroit Red Wings make the playoffs next season despite anticipating the path being even more difficult than before.
• Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas avoided putting Ryan Graves on full blast, but made sure to put it out there that the veteran defenseman needs to make significant strides this summer.
• Multiple NHL scouts believe that top San Jose Sharks prospect Will Smith is ready for the NHL, but will he return to Boston College instead?
