After coming back down to earth Monday against the Boston Bruins, the Philadelphia Flyers (18-19-7) will face a bottom dweller in the Anaheim Ducks (12-27-5) Tuesday at the Wells Fargo Center.

Both teams will be playing on the second half of back-to-back games, so fatigue could be a factor.

The Ducks, having lost four straight now, are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss in Pittsburgh. Jake Guentzel scored the overtime winner after Bryan Rust tied it with less than 30 seconds remaining in the third. Trevor Zegras and Troy Terry each had two points in the loss.

The Flyers were dismantled Monday afternoon by the powerful Bruins. Pavel Zacha and David Pastrnak had two goals apiece in Boston’s 6-0 shutout victory.

“A loss is a loss, doesn’t really matter. Like I said, just get rid of it,” Travis Konecny said. “Doesn’t sting any more or less then any other loss we’ve had this year. Just a chance to win (Tuesday).”

PHN: Flyers Notes: Philly Getting Production from Everywhere

This is the second matchup in about a two-week span between the Flyers and Ducks. Sam Ersson came within 40-seconds of his first career shutout in the 4-1 Flyers’ victory on Jan. 2. Konecny, Kevin Hayes, Joel Farabee, and Noah Cates each had two points.

The Ducks are going to be a desperate team coming into the Wells Fargo Center. They’ve won just three of their nine games since returning from the holiday break. Anaheim has scored two or fewer goals in five of the games.

Having won seven of their last nine games, the Flyers can’t sit back against this team despite the Ducks’ current struggles.
