Flyers defenseman Ronnie Attard celebrates goal for Team USA at World Championships.

Team USA’s communications team at the World Championships wants the public to get to know the players better.

Players are asked fun questions — no Woodward and Bernstein stuff.

The idea is “to learn a bit more about members of Team USA outside their accomplishments on the ice through our exclusive ‘This or That’ feature,” according to the Team USA website.

Flyers defenseman Ronnie Attard was featured the other day. This is Attard’s first international experience playing for Team USA. The 24-year-old was a Flyers third-round pick (72nd overall) in 2019, out of Western Michigan University, Keith Jones’ alma mater.

Attard has played 17 games with the Flyers over the last two seasons, scoring two goals and two assists. He played 68 games with the Phantoms this past season before getting called up to Philadelphia.

At the World Championships, Attard has one goal and is a plus-2 for the 7-0 Americans.

Team USA’s next game is Thursday at 9:20 a.m. (Philadelphia time) against Czechia in the single-elimination quarterfinals from Tampere, Finland. NHL Network will show the game.

Attard was asked his preference of the following:

Beach or Mountain? — Beach
iPhone or Droid? — iPhone
Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner? — Dinner
Wrist Shot or Slap Shot? — Slap shot
Golf, Tennis or Pickleball? — Golf
Country, Rock, Rap or Reggae? — Rap
Early Riser or Night Owl? — Early Riser
Bubble or Cage (helmet)? — Bubble
Sportscar, Truck, Van or Motorcycle? — Truck
Pineapple or No Pineapple? — Pineapple, but not on pizza
Watch College Sports or Pro Sports? — College
LeBron or Michael Jordan? — MJ
Ted Lasso, The Office or Game of Thrones? — Game of Thrones
Chicago, New York, or LA? — L.A.
NFL, NBA or MLB? — NFL
Burrito or Bowl? — Bowl
Netflix, HBOMax or Amazon Prime? — HBO
Mighty Ducks I, II or III? — I
Olympic Gold or Stanley Cup Title? — Stanley Cup
Thin Crust or Deep Dish ?— Deep Dish

Pretty solid choices by Attard. Gotta love the “pineapple, but not on pizza” answer. Not on-board with deep dish over thin crust, but Attard is from the Midwest, where deep dish is king.
