The Philadelphia Flyers (18-11-3) will travel to Little Caesars Arena to face the Detroit Red Wings (15-13-4) at 7 p.m. on Friday night. The Flyers had just faced this Red Wings team for the first time season less than a week ago, on Dec. 16. Philadelphia narrowly escaped with a 1-0 win, wherein Sam Ersson recorded his second shutout of the season. The Flyers’ nine-game point streak (7-0-2) was snapped on Thursday night, as they fell 4-2 in their rematch with the Nashville Predators. The loss was just Philadelphia’s second of the season after scoring the game’s first goal (15-2-0). Read all about it in our Flyers recap.

The Flyers did not hold a morning skate prior to Friday’s 7 p.m. puck drop against the Red Wings.
