In Friday’s edition of Bailey’s Daily, we’ll be talking the latest Philadelphia Flyers news, stories, highlights, and more from the last day.

Flyers News

  • The Philadelphia Flyers are reportedly entertaining calls from teams on a potential Scott Laughton trade.
  • Anecdotally, the Flyers’ decision to do this is reflective of the Elias Lindholm trade that went down on Wednesday night and the price the Vancouver Canucks had to pay to make it happen.
  • Flyers defenseman Sean Walker has been another highly sought-after trade piece and remains amongst the most likely players to be traded ahead of the NHL trade deadline.
  • Like Scott Laughton and the Flyers, the New York Rangers are reportedly entertaining Kaapo Kakko trade offers as they continue to seek to bolster their center depth.
  • Flyers goaltender Carter Hart was charged with one count of sexual assault; the case will be before a London, Ontario court on Monday. The charges against him and the other four players have not been proven in court.

NHL News from National Hockey Now

  • The New Jersey Devils have finally received a positive Jack Hughes injury update from the man himself during the All-Star break.
  • That Nathan MacKinnon guy on the Colorado Avalanche is pretty good; he was just named the NHL’s First Star of the Month for the second month in a row.
  • What kind of impact will the Lindholm trade have on a Sean Monahan trade for the Montreal Canadiens?
  • Detroit Red Wings prospect Axel Sandin Pellikka has finally returned from the injury he suffered at the 2024 World Junior Championships.
  • How much value does Pittsburgh Penguins star Evgeni Malkin have with the team at this stage of his career?
