  • Nashville Predators general manager Barry Trotz suggested that forward Tommy Novak will be traded if a contract agreement is not reached in a timely manner.
  • The San Jose Sharks led 1-0 against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night and then lost 7-2; head coach David Quinn described the loss with two words and an expletive.
