In Wednesday’s edition of Bailey’s Daily, we’ll be talking the latest Philadelphia Flyers news, NHL news, stories, highlights, and more from the last day.

Flyers News

  • Contrary to expectations, Tuesday night’s Philadelphia Flyers game against New York was disappointing, but for all the wrong reasons. The Orange and Black could have and should have come away with two points.
  • Flyers head coach John Tortorella apologized to the media for his reaction to a question about Felix Sandstrom on Sunday night, “It was wrong.”
  • According to his KHL club, HC Dinamo Minsk, Flyers goalie prospect Alexei Kolosov will be heading to North America in the coming days.
  • Speaking of the KHL, a likely bogus report out of Russia claims that Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart is being targeted as a potential signing by KHL club Ak Bars Kazan.
  • In case you missed it, with stakes getting higher and games growing fewer, the Flyers will need to find a solution for their goaltending situation, and quickly.

NHL News from National Hockey Now

  • Former Pittsburgh Penguins winger Jake Guentzel made his return to PPG Paints Arena on Tuesday night; see the reaction from Sidney Crosby, Bryan Rust, and others.
  • The Montreal Canadiens are on tank watch, which means only one thing: more time for 2024 NHL Draft prospects. Before that, we will need to see where the Habs end up picking.
  • According to his agent, Shumi Babaev, Colorado Avalanche prospect Zakhar Bardakov will play one more year in the KHL before joining up with the Avs in 2025.
  • Deservedly, all the praise goes to Chicago Blackhawks rookie Connor Bedard, but Landon Slaggert may be next up in the Windy City.
  • The Nashville Predators are 16-0-2 in their last 18 games and are on a franchise-record 18-game point streak. Now they’re the team nobody wants to face in the NHL playoffs.
