In Tuesday’s edition of Bailey’s Daily, we’ll be talking the latest Philadelphia Flyers news, NHL news, stories, highlights, and more from the last day.

Flyers News

  • In a move that certainly came out of left field, the Philadelphia Flyers announced the signing of Swedish free agent Oscar Eklind, formerly of the SHL’s Lulea HF.
  • Flyers head coach John Tortorella surprisingly revealed Monday afternoon that the team “figured” something would happen with Carter Hart during the season that would cause him to be unavailable to play.
  • Earlier in the week, Carolina signed Russian prospect Gleb Trikozov after his KHL contract was terminated. That’s great news for Matvei Michkov, the Flyers organization, and plenty of other NHL teams around the league.
  • For those still invested in a potential playoff push with four games to go, here are the latest Flyers playoff odds. Don’t say I didn’t warn you, though!
  • In case you missed it, Flyers forward Garnet Hathaway quietly broke a franchise record last set by one of his teammates last season.

NHL News from National Hockey Now

  • If you’re not invested in the playoff chase, you, like the Montreal Canadiens, are invested in the 2024 NHL Draft Lottery odds. Right now, Montreal is nearly penciled in at a draft slot already, but the top two picks are well within reach still.
  • The Nashville Predators have enjoyed a magical season, and as a result, they have a number of players approaching franchise records with a few games remaining.
  • Good news for the Colorado Avalanche: superstar forward Mikko Rantanen is progressing and his injury doesn’t seem to be as serious as initially feared.
  • Despite losing to Toronto, the Pittsburgh Penguins have officially overtaken the Flyers after earning a point in the overtime loss. Not to mention, the Pens played well and probably deserved a point.
  • Making matters worse, the Detroit Red Wings are getting goalie Ville Husso some conditioning in the AHL before he marks his return to the NHL after nearly two months out.
