The Philadelphia Flyers will have a monumental task Thursday at the Wells Fargo Center: Trying to contain superstar Connor McDavid and the high-scoring Edmonton Oilers.

It’s the Oilers’ only visit to Philly this season, and young players like Noah Cates and Morgan Frost — centers who have never played against McDavid — are excited about the challenge.

The Wells Fargo will have lots of electricity whenever McDavid is on the ice and will make the building feel like it does during the playoffs. You remember the playoffs, right?

Right winger Fabian Lysell isn’t a future McDavid, but he is regarded as the Boston Bruins’ best prospect. And if the Bruins make a pitch for Chicago’s Patrick Kane, he almost assuredly will have to be included in the deal, a source told Boston Hockey Now.
