The Philadelphia Flyers gave an update on star right winger Travis Konecny on Friday.

Sort of.

The club announced that Konecny would not play Friday night against visiting Montreal because of an upper-body injury. The Flyers gave no more info on his status beyond tonight.

On Monday, Konecny was injured in the second period when he took a hit from Calgary’s MacKenzie Weegar. he sat out the rest of the game — a 4-3 Flyers win — and missed Tuesday’s 4-2 loss in Edmonton.

His arm was seen in a sling on the road trip, per reports.

Konecny, 25, leads the Flyers in goals (27) and points (54) and is having a career season.

The Flyers are trying to bounce back from after a 1-3 road trip. Carter Hart (2.89 GAA, .909 save percentage) will face Montreal’s Jake Allen (3.47, .894) on Friday.
