Philadelphia Flyers prospect Tyson Foerster is among 35 players invited to participate in a rookie showcase next month.

Foerster will be part of the group that includes Blackhawks first overall pick Connor Bedard, second overall pick Leo Carlsson (Anaheim) and third overall pick Adam Fantilli (Columbus) at the event hosted by the players’ association and Upper Deck.

Rookies and top prospects were invited to attend the Sept. 5 event at the MedStar Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Va. Foerster was the only Flyer invited.

Foerster was the Flyers’ 2020 first-round pick, the 23rd player selected overall. He is expected to seriously challenge for a roster spot and regular ice-time coming out of training camp. He scored three goals and four assists in eight Flyers’ games last season.
