Flyers game preview vs Flames: Expected lineups and goalies

The Philadelphia Flyers (19-13-5) seek to end their four-game losing streak during their second game of a four-game homestand against the Calgary Flames (17-16-5) on Saturday at 1 p.m. This will be the second and final meeting between these two teams this season; the Flyers lost to the Flames on New Year’s Eve, 4-3, exactly one week ago. The Flyers are just 3-4-3 in their last 10 games against the Flames. Jacob Markstrom is 6-4-1 in his career against the Flyers with a 1.94 AA, a .935 save percentage, and one shutout.

The Flyers will not hold a morning skate or have any media availability prior to their 1 p.m. puck drop against the Flames.

  • Travis Konecny extended his season-long point streak to six games (4G-5A).
    • Konecny is now the third active forward in the NHL who has scored 20 goals five or more times with the Flyers. The other two are Claude Giroux (OTT) and Jeff Carter (PIT)
  • Joel Farabee is now on a three-game point streak, and has seven points in his last five games.
  • Garnet Hathaway is four appearances away from 500 in his NHL career.
