In Friday’s edition of Bailey’s Daily, we’ll be talking the latest Philadelphia Flyers news, stories, highlights, and more from the last day.

Flyers News

  • That Philadelphia Flyers game against the Dallas Stars sure was something, wasn’t it? Five goals against one of the best teams in the NHL while holding a 20-shot-on-goal advantage for over half of the game is just the latest feat for this surging Flyers squad.
  • One of those five goals ended up being one of the better goals you’ll see this season. Owen Tippett pulled another trick out of his hat, but the shot selection and the “SportsCenter” finish will stun you.
  • This Friday’s Carchidi Column has us looking back to the past – 1974 to be exact. Something about this Flyers team just screams Stanley Cup nostalgia.
  • For PhHN+ members: We released our 2023-24 Flyers grades for a midseason update, and so far, the class has avoided accruing any demerits in the first half of this impressive campaign.
  • On Tuesday, we explored the possibility of a Flyers trade for disgruntled Los Angeles Kings winger Arthur Kaliyev, after the youngster was made a healthy scratch by LA once again.

  • Down yet another defenseman, the New Jersey Devils placed defenseman Brendan Smith on injured reserve Thursday.
  • PHN+: Should the Pittsburgh Penguins really trade a star like Jake Guentzel? There are pros and cons to such a huge move.
  • The Buffalo Sabres are witnessing an intriguing revelation. Suddenly, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen has turned a corner at the NHL level, with shutouts in back-to-back games.
