In Thursday’s edition of Bailey’s Daily, we’ll be talking the latest Philadelphia Flyers news, stories, highlights, and more from the last day.

Flyers News

  • Earlier today, we previewed the upcoming Philadelphia Flyers game against the visiting Dallas Stars.
  • This week, we gave out some Flyers grades in our midseason report card, and there shouldn’t be too many surprises. You’ll have to see for yourselves to be certain!
  • Los Angeles Kings forward Arthur Kaliyev might be a trade candidate after falling out of favor out west. Should the Flyers trade for the embattled winger?
  • Flyers prospect and preseason standout Matt Brown scored a goal in the ECHL All-Star game that you’ll have to see to believe. Not even Trevor Zegras has dirt on a move like that.
  • ICYMI: For PhHN+ members: I took a look at what a ‘rover’ is, how Flyers head coach John Tortorella has used one in his coaching career, and how newcomer Jamie Drysdale fits that mold in his new threads.

NHL News from National Hockey Now

  • New Jersey Devils coach Lindy Ruff went on a strange but epic rant after a reporter quizzed him on the play of youngster Alexander Holtz in their loss to the Canadiens.
  • Nashville Predators prospect Yaroslav Askarov has been lights-out lately, and general manager Barry Trotz posited an interesting theory as to why that is suddenly the case.
  • Don’t look now, but Florida Panthers star and pending free agent Sam Reinhart just passed Pavel Bure in the Panthers’ record books.
  • Speaking of that Devils game, Montreal Canadiens prospect Joshua Roy scored his first NHL goal on Wednesday night, and it couldn’t have been set up any better.
  • How can the Pittsburgh Penguins make the playoffs? They have to continue to play the right way, and right now, there’s only one way to do that.
